Assam and Meghalaya held a Chief Minister level meeting today in Guwahati to settle the border issue. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his Meghalaya counterpart Conrad K Sangma along with ministers from both the states attended the meeting. Both states have signed an MoU in New Delhi this year on border issues. Today’s meeting was held to find an amicable solution to the issue in respect of the remaining six areas. Both the Chief Ministers reaffirmed their commitments to solve the issue amicably.
