Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Thursday visited the Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital and took stock of medical facilities in the hospital.
The Governor was accompanied by the secretary of health and family welfare department Dr. Sanddep R Rathod, Principal of AGMC Dr. Anup Saha, Director of health and family welfare department Supriya Mallik and other health officers.
During the visit the Governor mainly stressed on ensuring proper medical facilities in the hospital and said that people would not turn up unless proper medical facilities are ensured in government hospitals. He said that the medical facilities available in the GB hospital should be accessible to all citizens of the state.
The Governor also inquired about the facilities of Agartala Government Medical College and chaired a meeting with the Secretary of Health Department, Director of Health and Family Welfare Department, Principal of AGMC, College Staff, Chief Medical Officer of GB Hospital, Medical Superintendent of GB Hospital in the council room of AGMC.
