Biplab Kumar Deb Meets Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar

Member of Parliament from West Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb, met with Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs and Power, Manohar Lal Khattar, on Thursday to assess the progress of the Lighthouse Project being implemented in Tripura.

During the meeting, Deb emphasized the need to accelerate the pace of construction and urged the Centre to allocate additional funds to ensure the timely completion of the project. He highlighted the transformative potential of the initiative, which is aimed at providing affordable housing to 1,000 families in the state.

The Lighthouse Project in Tripura is one of six such flagship projects being executed across India under the Global Housing Technology Challenge – India (GHTC-India). The initiative seeks to promote innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective construction technologies that can be replicated nationwide.

Deb reiterated his commitment to enhancing urban infrastructure and improving living standards in Tripura. He expressed confidence that, with continued support from the central government, the project would be completed at the earliest, benefitting thousands of citizens.
