Assam Rifles Organises Cycle Rally under ‘Fit India’ Movement

In a vibrant initiative to promote physical fitness and foster a sporting culture, the Assam Rifles organised a Cycle Rally on Monday under the Fit India Movement, a flagship initiative of the Government of India’s Khelo India Scheme.

The event witnessed active participation from 92 civilians, including students, youth, and elderly citizens, who collectively covered a 20-kilometre route through the scenic areas surrounding Radhanagar. The rally was aimed at encouraging people of all ages to adopt healthier lifestyles and embrace physical activity as a part of daily life.

Flagged off in the morning, the rally carried strong messages of health awareness, community well-being, and youth motivation. The initiative was particularly focused on inspiring younger generations to consider sports not just as a recreational activity, but as a potential career path.

The participants' enthusiasm reflected the growing awareness around fitness and the importance of an active lifestyle in building a strong and resilient society. The event also served as a reminder of the collective role citizens play in supporting national health missions.
