Security Forces Recover Arms, Arrest Militant in Manipur

Security forces in Manipur recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in Phubala Mamang Patton under Moirang Police Station in Bishnupur district on Wednesday.

The seized items included an SLR rifle, two SBBL rifles, a revolver, a 9mm pistol with magazine, a hand grenade, a detonator, a Baofeng handset, a helmet, two bulletproof jackets, and live ammunition.

Meanwhile, an active militant of the KCP (MC Progressive) was arrested near the Inter-State Bus Terminal at Khaman Lampak in Imphal West district. Authorities said the operations are part of ongoing efforts to restore normalcy in sensitive areas of the state.
