Tripura Government Signs MoU with STQC to Strengthen Information Security
In a move aimed at enhancing information security standards in the State, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy met with M. Vellaipandi, Director General of STQC, MeitY, Government of India, and Arvind Kumar Upadhyaya, Scientist G, STQC, at the Secretariat in Agartala on Thursday.
During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged between the STQC Directorate, MeitY and the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura. The MoU will facilitate the implementation of information security standards through certifications, capacity-building programs, seminars, workshops, and other related initiatives.
The initiative is in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under the leadership of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, as the Tripura government takes proactive steps to strengthen cybersecurity and IT governance in the State, said Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy.
