CM Manik Saha Urges Dialogue as Nationwide Bandh Fails to Disrupt State

Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday said that the nationwide general strike called by central trade unions had little to no impact in the state, with normal life continuing smoothly across Tripura.

Commenting on the bandh, Dr. Saha expressed concern about its effect on daily life, small businesses, students, and daily wage earners. While affirming that citizens have the democratic right to protest, he stressed that such actions should not disrupt essential services or cause inconvenience to the public.

Taking a dig at the Left parties, the Chief Minister remarked that people are no longer influenced by “outdated political tactics” and highlighted that the strike failed to elicit a significant response from the public in Tripura.

Dr. Saha reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to maintaining law and order and urged all groups to address their concerns through dialogue and constructive discussion, rather than resorting to disruptive measures. He assured that the administration remains alert and proactive in ensuring normalcy across the state.
