The state Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy on Thursday launched Anganwadi Inspection and Monitoring System (AIMS) Mobile Application to check the functioning of Anganwadi Centres across the state.
Launching the App the minister in a function held here at Agartala held at the premises of the Institute of Speech Rehabilitation in Ujan Abhoynagar, the minister said that the AIMS Live App is designed to enhance the implementation of all Anganwadi systems, aiming to improve their effectiveness.
Speaking on the occasion, Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy said that this app has been launched to realistically monitor with the help of technology whether all the services to mothers and children are being provided properly from all Anganwadi Centers in the state.
If someone wants to monitor the Anganwadi center through this app then he has to go within 50 meters of the Anganwadi center and submit details of the Anganwadi center. Through this app, the report will be generated automatically with all the details of the Anganwadi center and all the information of the Anganwadi center will be saved in that app, he said.
The minister further informed that through this app, the number of Anganwadi Centers visited by departmental supervisors and other level employees per month can be determined and the extent to which the target has been met can also be checked. Another feature of this app is that it can upload pictures of various aspects of Anganwadi centers.
The state government has made efforts to expand the provision of education, nutrition as well as provision of electricity, drinking water, toilets along with vegetable cultivation and sports facilities in all the Anganwadi Centers of the state, he said, adding that the state government is planning to upgrade Anganwadi centres.
