Union & States should work together on development issues: Union Minister V Somanna
Union Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakti, V. Somanna said that the Union and the States should work together on development issues. The Minister was speaking at an information exchange program organized in Thiruvananthapuram on the Union Budget 2025-26. Mr Somanna said that the Union Budget, which aims to uplift the middle class in the country, has been conceived keeping in mind the development of everyone. The Minister further said that in the last 10 years, unprecedented development has been taking place in the Railway sector across the country. If Kerala is to benefit from this, the cooperation of the State is required in matters including land acquisition. Prominent figures from various fields shared their ideas with the Union Minister at the event.
