CM Dr. Manik Saha attends 58th Engineers’ Day Celebration in Agartala
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday attended the 58th Engineers’ Day celebration organized by the Public Works Department (PWD) and The Institution of Engineers (India), Tripura State Centre, at Prajna Bhavan in Agartala.
The event commemorated the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, one of India’s most eminent engineers, whose contributions to engineering and nation-building remain unparalleled.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Saha emphasized the vital role engineers play in the development of the state and the nation. He lauded their commitment, innovation, and technical expertise, stating that engineers are key architects in shaping the future.
“Our engineers play an important role in the development journey and nation-building. Their brilliance, dedication, and innovation significantly contribute to the progress of our society,” said Dr. Saha.
The Chief Minister also acknowledged the efforts of the engineering community in implementing infrastructure projects across Tripura and urged them to continue working with excellence and integrity.
The event saw the participation of senior government officials, engineers from various departments, members of the Institution of Engineers (India), and students from engineering institutions.
Engineers’ Day is celebrated every year on September 15 across India in honor of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, recognizing the invaluable contributions of engineers to the nation’s progress.
