Pema Khandu Stresses Scheme Convergence to Boost Agriculture in Arunachal During Launch of PM's Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Saturday underlined the importance of integrating various government schemes to accelerate agricultural development in the state. He made the remarks while virtually participating in the launch of the Prime Minister’s Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana and the Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing the event from Itanagar, Chief Minister Khandu stated that scheme convergence offers the most effective model for sustainable and inclusive development. He expressed confidence that the newly launched agricultural initiative will become highly impactful when complemented by the integration of schemes and resources from multiple ministries and departments.

“The Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana is a timely initiative that will help address the challenges in agricultural production and meet the increasing demand for food grains in Arunachal Pradesh,” Khandu said.

He added that the state government is committed to aligning its efforts with the Centre’s vision of self-reliance in agriculture, particularly in pulses, which are vital for food security and nutrition.

The Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana aims to modernize Indian agriculture by promoting sustainable farming practices, increasing productivity, and ensuring better market access for farmers. Through effective convergence and collaboration across sectors, the scheme seeks to bring tangible benefits to farmers, especially in remote and hilly regions like Arunachal Pradesh.
