Sikkim is set to host a high-octane supercar rally from December 12 to 15, as part of the Defence Ministry’s Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan initiative. The event will feature 17 high-performance cars navigating some of the state’s most challenging mountain routes, aiming to promote both battlefield and border tourism.
The rally will be flagged off from Sukna in West Bengal and will cover a scenic yet demanding circuit including Siliguri, Gangtok, Cho La, Nathu La, and Zuluk. The event is being organized with the support of the Indian Army’s Trishakti Corps and the Sikkim government.
In addition to showcasing Sikkim as a premier destination for driving enthusiasts, the rally will involve traffic restrictions for heavy vehicles along NH-10 during the event to ensure safety.
Officials hope the initiative will attract adventure seekers and automobile enthusiasts while highlighting Sikkim’s strategic and tourist significance.
