Union Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh attended celebrations at the historic Sri Ram Temple in Kenya to mark Diwali’s inclusion in UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Built in 1919, the Shri Ram Temple stands as a symbol of India’s cultural heritage and the longstanding historical ties between India and Kenya. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, this recognition reflects the global appreciation of India’s rich traditions and the universal message of peace and harmony.

Minister Singh is in Kenya to participate in the seventh session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA), which is scheduled from December 8 to 12.
