Power Minister emphasis on completing renovation work before monsoon; chairs meeting

The state power minister Ratan Lal Nath on Wednesday chaired a meeting with the officials of the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) on Wednesday to discuss progress of electricity services across the state and chalk out a plan for pre-monsoon preparation.

Secretary of the Power Department Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary Udayan Sinha, MD of the Power Corporation Biswajit Basu, Director of Finance of the Corporation Sabarjit Singh Dogra and officials of the power departments of each district of the state joined the meeting held at Agartala Pragna Bhavan.

The power minister discussed in detail the implemented programs of the 2024-25 financial year and the plans for the 2025-26 financial year. During the discussion, the minister directed the officials to complete the unfinished works of the previous year soon and to take up the plans for the current financial year.

In view of the upcoming monsoon, the minister ordered to complete all the renovation works of the electricity service and the distribution of electricity equipment in different places of the district before the monsoon arrives.
