PM Modi urges people to convert faith of Swami Dayanand Saraswati about India into self-confidence during Amrit Kaal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people to convert the faith of Swami Dayanand Saraswati about India, into self-confidence during Amrit Kaal. Mr. Modi said this while addressing a programme of 200th birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Dayananda Saraswati organized at his birthplace Tankara in Morbi, via a video message today. Recalling Maharshi Dayananda’s vision of a bright future for the nation, the Prime Minister said Maharshi Dayananda was not just a Vedic sage but also a national sage. Mr. Modi highlighted the role of Swami Dayanand Saraswati in awakening India from the shackles of ignorance and superstition, leading a movement to rediscover the essence of Vedic knowledge and also to empower women.

Prime Minister also lauded the extensive network of Arya Samaj institutions across the globe, especially in the field of education and social reformation. Saying that National Education Policy is taking the vision of Swamiji forward, PM also urged the students and institutions of Arya Samaj to contribute to Vocal for Local, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Mission Life, water conservation, Swacch Bharat, Sports, and fitness. The PM also emphasized first-time voters to understand their responsibilities.

Mr. Modi expressed confidence that the event will serve as an effective medium to acquaint new generation with the life of Maharshi Dayananda.
