Meghalaya is all set to host the two-day Me·Gong Festival 2024 from Friday. Named after the Me’gong flower, which blooms abundantly in the Garo Hills, the festival celebrates Garo culture, including music, folk dances, indigenous games, handloom and handicrafts, and authentic cuisine. The event aims to unite local communities, artists, tourists, and artisans, offering a rich cultural experience and promoting cross-cultural dialogue. The festival is expected to attract over 2 lakh attendees.
