Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal hands over appointment letters to newly candidates at 'Rozgar Mela’, Guwahati

Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal handed over the appointment letters to the newly selected candidates at the 'Rozgar Mela’ in Guwahati today. Speaking on the occasion, he said that during the last nine years Prime Minister Narendra Modi took several bold initiatives and as a result India is now a influential nation in the world.

 Mr Sonowal said, the North Eastern states has now become the focal point of attention and development due to the Prime Minister. The Union Minister said that due to decisive and bold decisions of our Prime Minister, the youths are now reaping the benefits of economic developments. He said that Prime Minister's emphasis on youth led development and their employment generation. The Union Minister urged the newly appointees to work for the development of the country with sincerity as youths are the strongest force and they can only make India Atmanirbhar.

 The ‘Rozgar Mela’ is an initiative undertaken by the Union government, as directed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, towards the recruitment process for filling up vacancies at various central government departments. As a part of the mission, new candidates were offered appointment letters at various locations in the country and the candidates selected were also addressed by the Prime Minister through virtual mode nationwide.

 In this fifth 'Rozgar Mela' 71206 vacancies were filled today through new appointments of the targeted 10 lakhs jobs across various government departments. Today, 217 new recruits from various government departments including Railways, Postal, Home Affairs, Defence, Geological Survey of India and Health & Family Welfare were handed over the appointment letters in this Guwahati programme.
