Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday flagged off the third Ayodhya-bound Astha special train to depart it from Agartala with passengers from Agartala rail station.
Dr Saha thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for arranging special trains for the people of Tripura traveling to Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
The third Aastha Special train has started from Agartala Railway with over a thousand pilgrims to have Darshan of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, who were joined by another thousand from three destinations in Tripura.
In a short program organized on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Lord Ram is the symbol of India's trust. At present, many pilgrims from the country and abroad are visiting Ram Mandir, while pilgrims from the state of Tripura are visiting the Ram mandir now, he said.
He said, “For Ayodhya, three trains have departed from Tripura so far. I will pray to Lord Ram for their safe and happy journey. The Prime Minister inaugurated the Ram Mandir last month, a moment awaited for 500 years.”
MLA Kishore Barman, MLA Tafazzal Hossain, prominent philanthropist Rajeev Bhattacharya and Divisional Railway Manager of Lumding Division Prem Ranjan Kumar were present on the occasion.
