Need to Address Root Causes of Drug Abuse to Prevent Youth Destruction: Nagaland Governor
Nagaland Governor La Ganesan emphasized the need to address the root causes of drug abuse, which leads youth down a destructive path. Speaking at the inauguration of the Brahma Kumaris’ Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Awareness Campaign in Kohima, he said that understanding addiction’s underlying causes can help society provide better support and healthier alternatives. The Governor highlighted that drug abuse is a societal challenge, not just a personal issue, affecting communities, families, and the economy. He also noted that Naga youth have the potential to contribute significantly to the state’s and nation’s growth. On the occasion, the Governor also flagged off the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan rally, with participation from NCC cadets and school students in Kohima.
