3 women apprehended with 25 kgs dry cannabis worth over Rs. 3 lakhs

In yet another significant drive against drugs, the police of Teliamura police station on Thursday morning detained at least three women along with a driver of an auto-rickshaw with cannabis worth over Rs. 3 lakhs.

The incident took place along the Howaibari Naka point in Teliamura subdivision, after the police conducted a search in an auto-rickshaw and seized at least 25 Kgs of dry cannabis wrapped in separate packets.

Police said that the auto-rickshaw bearing registration number – TR01 E 3229 boarded three women inside and was heading towards Teliamura from Agartala Khayerpur. The women along with the driver were detained and police registered a case against them under the NDPS Act.
